Agnesia Dung Dung

Agnesia is a Botany post-graduate from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands with a specialized background in biodiversity research and currently working as a Program Associate at Dakshin Foundation. 

Agnesia is also a passionate storyteller and documentary-maker, as an NYCC Climate Champion from Andaman, she completed a powerful short documentary capturing the climate stories of the Andaman Islands through the voices of Karen, Ranchi, Telugu, and Bengali fisher communities in 2025. The film "Voices of Change : Climate Stories of Andaman Islands" amplifies local perspectives on climate change and deepens public understanding of its impacts, while garnering 10k+ viewership across platforms.

By organizing workshops and forming youth committees with young people in her community, she has successfully translated climate awareness into localized action plans for marine conservation and waste management. She is now keen to showcase her documentary at Film Festivals and make space for representation for the Voices of Andaman.

Her leadership fosters a sustainable future by empowering island youth and amplifying indigenous perspectives on environmental stewardship.
