Breeze Kimneithem is an Independent Interdisciplinary Researcher and Development Professional committed to advancing multi-dimensional sustainability through an intersectional lens. Blending rigorous research with grounded fieldwork, her work moves beyond conventional environmentalism to examine social realities through diverse perspectives, fostering holistic and long-term transformation.
As a Life-long Learner and Inquisitive woman, Breeze bridges the gap between systemic research and grassroots advocacy, with a strong focus on empowering youth and women. She approaches sustainability with the belief that humans are not separate from the environment, but an integral part of it, guiding her commitment to mindful, responsible living.
Working in the conflict-affected region of Churachandpur, Manipur, she has reached over 3,500 individuals across 35 locations through climate awareness initiatives under her tenure as an NYCC Climate Champion from Manipur. Her work has also created tangible livelihood opportunities: seven conflict-affected individuals gained income via bamboo production, and over 27 institutions and stakeholders were engaged. Her approach integrates sustainability with resilience, ensuring solutions are locally relevant and community-led.
In addition to being a Sewa International Fellow, Breeze leads her own organisation, where she is committed to integrating SDGs and environmental lenses across projects and programs. Her work is grounded in inquiry, intentionality, and the pursuit of systems change, driven by a deep commitment to people, planet, and purpose.
