Dhakshina Moorthy CJ

Dhakshina Moorthy CJ is a specialized consultant in Gram Panchayat Development Planning, especially for localizing Sustainable Development Goals through participatory governance. Currently, he works as an Outcome Associate at Madhi Foundation. He has mobilized over 1,230 community members, with a unique focus on empowering individuals with developmental disabilities through climate-resilient organic farming. 

As an NYCC Climate Champion from Tamil Nadu, Dhakshina has been successful in implementing creative climate advocacy in Tamil Nadu, using storytelling to engage rural women and mobilizing youth for the ‘Youth for Net Zero’ initiative. Despite geographical and seasonal challenges, he has consistently delivered high-impact tree plantation drives and capacity-building workshops for over 450 future-ready leaders. He has also supported UNICEF-India in mobilizing youth for the Tamil Nadu Climate Summit 3.0, fostering climate resilience and promoting green livelihoods.

His work bridges the gap between state-level policy and grassroots execution, ensuring that local development is both child-friendly and socially entrepreneurial.
