Rashmi Yadav

Rashmi Yadav is a former Gandhi Fellow and community leader from Chhattisgarh working at the intersection of public health, gender, and climate action. She has led capacity-building initiatives and collaborated with government stakeholders to bridge rural health gaps, integrating traditional knowledge with formal healthcare systems.

Through the years, Rashmi has linked menstrual hygiene management with climate action across Korba, Champa, Mungeli, and Rajnandgaon. She promoted eco-friendly alternatives like cloth pads and menstrual cups, addressing both environmental impact and health awareness.

Her initiative under NYCC reached over 450 students,teachers, and women through school and community sessions. With support from the Nagar Nigam, she enabled the installation of menstrual waste disposal units in schools serving 860 students, ensuring safer waste management.

Currently a Project Coordinator at ESAF Foundation, her work focuses on engaging with 500+ SHGs to build awareness around healthcare, and designing adolescent learning modules while conducting sessions with over 800 adolescent girls. Additionally, organizing 6 annual health camps in the community to ensure access to free medical check-ups.

She was also recognized as a Green Guardian in 2025 by iVolunteer and YuWaah-UNICEF.
