Shibani Padhy is a climate innovator from Odisha who blends technology with grassroots action to address environmental challenges. With over four years of experience, she has mobilized more than 10,000 young people through initiatives ranging from mangrove restoration to The Red Revolution promoting sustainable menstruation.
As a first-time innovator, she developed Project Dolphin under NYCC: a machine learning-based submarine prototype designed to detect plastic in water bodies. Her work earned her recognition as an IUCN Changemaker, and she presented her innovation at the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Abu Dhabi.
Through her work with grassroots organizations like the Sattvic Soul Foundation and as the State Lead of Youth Climate Impact Community under NYCC, Shibani continues to lead climate education workshops, waste management campaigns, and creative sustainability initiatives engaging thousands of students.
Recognized as Women Achiever of Odisha- 2025, she continues to strengthen climate literacy and empower rural tribal youth, especially girls, to lead community-driven environmental action.
