Tirthraj Singh is a grassroots climate leader from Phalodi, Rajasthan, working to amplify the voices of last-mile communities often excluded from mainstream climate discourse. By mobilizing youth across villages like Baru and Dholiya, he integrates local governance with climate action to strengthen community resilience in one of India’s most ecologically challenging regions.
During his journey as a climate educator and as an NYCC Climate Champion, Tirthraj has engaged over 1,000 children and youth across government schools and rural communities, advancing a “plastic-free village” vision. His work combines climate awareness with practical action through workshops, seminars, and student-led exhibitions, linking hygiene, sustainability, and livelihoods.
Recognized as a Youth Advocate under WWF India’s Tide Turner Plastic Challenge, he has collaborated closely with panchayats and district authorities to promote sustainable practices and youth-led advocacy. By empowering young people as climate champions as a volunteer with Bindi Foundation, Tirthraj is building a culture of environmental responsibility and long-term community participation.
