Tumlesh Kumar Neti

Tumlesh Kumar Neti is a young Adivasi filmmaker from Chhattisgarh who uses storytelling to highlight the deep connections between nature, culture, and community life. Trained under Adivasi Awaaz at Adivasi Lives Matter and as a Green Hub Central India Alumni, he has created documentary films that capture how climate change and development impact forests, livelihoods, and indigenous traditions.

He kickstarted Yuva Samvaad – a project mobilising 130 Adivasi youth across Gariyaband and Surajpur to create momentum in grassroots-focussed storytelling, under his NYCC Project. Through hands-on training in photography, videography, and storytelling, he enabled them to document traditional ecological knowledge shared by elders, building confidence and preserving cultural narratives through digital platforms, especially via Yuva Collective.

He is now continuing his work with Adivasi Lives Matter, using media and storytelling to amplify indigenous voices and advocate for climate justice rooted in Adivasi knowledge systems.
