Muskan Bhatia is a Deaf queer feminist researcher, climate justice advocate, and founder of Waves Beyond Walls, a queer- and disabled-led collective advancing disability inclusion, climate resilience, gender justice, and accessible leadership. With over six years of experience in community-based research and inclusive policy, she works at the intersection of climate action and disability rights, ensuring Deaf and disabled communities are meaningfully included in climate preparedness, disaster risk reduction, and environmental decision-making. She has also served as a Committee Advisory Member to the Supreme Court of India, advocating for accessible ICT and climate disaster preparedness for the Deaf community. Muskan is passionate about transforming lived experiences into evidence-based advocacy and driving equitable, accessible climate solutions that leave no one behind.

Muskan, with her NYCC Project - "Before Climate Disaster, Include Us: Mapping Climate Vulnerability and Accessible Emergency Preparedness for Youth with Disabilities in Delhi",  aims to address the exclusion of Deaf and disabled communities from climate preparedness systems in Delhi. She aims to conduct qualitative research to document their lived experiences and develop evidence-based policy recommendations for accessible emergency communication and disaster infrastructure. She envisions building a future where climate action is community-driven, evidence-based, and accessible to everyone.
