Raginee Mohanty

An undergraduate pharmacy student, Raginee co-founded RICEOI, converting paddy stubble into insulation for non-electric slow cookers. Watching hospital corridors and a family accident up close taught her that most "emergency response failures" aren't knowledge problems; they're social ones: people freeze, hesitate, or simply don't know what to do in the first sixty seconds. That observation became Protocol Zero, her venture rebuilding how communities respond to crisis - from a biodegradable first-aid device (DR.STAT) designed to cut medical waste, to training programs that have already reached 300+ people across South Delhi's schools and old-age homes, run alongside nursing officers from Apollo and AIIMS. I work with students to make disaster preparedness and biomedical waste management practical, helping them carry these lessons from classrooms to their households. I believe climate action is strongest when it is practical, evidence-based, and starts with the communities it is meant to serve.

Under her NYCC Project, the Dr STAT - The Green Bandage Project, Raginee is re-designing first-aid with circular materials, building out biomedical waste management systems across South Delhi, and working to uplift the community of sanitation workers and rag pickers at the frontline of that system.
