Sai Navya Sri Potla

Navya Potla is an agroecology practitioner and traditional seed exponent. She was incubated at the National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE) under RKVY RAFTAAR initiative. Also completed a certificate course in natural farming. She has played an active role in the planning and implementation of the 1st Telangana Seed Festival and the 2nd Telangana Annual Seed Festival, gaining experience in farmer mobilization, stakeholder coordination, indigenous seed conservation, and the promotion of agroecology and sustainable farming practices. She also led a five-month field-based malnutrition intervention across six villages, significantly reducing malnutrition prevalence by coordinating with ASHA workers and utilizing community champions. She is committed to strengthening climate-resilient agriculture through biodiversity conservation and traditional seed systems.

Navya aims to address the loss of native seed diversity and the erosion of traditional farming knowledge among small and marginal farmers, especially women. With her NYCC Project, Village-Level Community Seed Bank & Agro Ecology Training Initiative, she will focus on community-driven seed conservation to improve soil health, reduce debt, and ensure food security.
