Dimapur, Nagaland
Suhutoli, an Indigenous young person from Nagaland, is currently working as a Project Associate with Sisterhood Network, where she is deeply involved with the communities. Passionate about youth engagement, she believes in empowering young people to become agents of positive change. Through her work, she is committed to creating opportunities, building stronger communities and inspiring sustainable, meaning transformation. Her recent work involves addressing the impact of climate change through a gender lens with women, utilizing grassroots mobilization and networking with local governance.
Suhutoli now plans to address single-use plastics, garbage disposal, and green waste composting in Dimapur's market areas. With her project, Youth-led Climate Response for Customers & Market Players, Dimapur, she will build awareness among vendors and civic administration, create compost units via social sponsorships, and involve religious institutions in climate advocacy. She hopes to inspire and mobilize young people and local communities in Dimapur to take collective action on waste management.
