Vinay Agarwal

Vinay Agarwal is a dedicated community worker from Bikarni village in the Kotda block of Udaipur, Rajasthan, a region characterized by its remote tribal landscape. With a background in education, Vinay has spent over six years working alongside tribal communities, focusing on educational empowerment, climate change awareness, and grassroots development. He has collaborated with the Teen Sathi Foundation, where he initiated the "Kotda Climate Warrior" competition to encourage youth to blend traditional wisdom with modern insights for low-cost, natural cooling solutions. His work with the Kshamatalaya Foundation further highlights his commitment to community engagement and social progress.

In his NYCC project, "Kelu Udyog se Vikasit Gaon Hamara," Vinay focuses on reviving traditional cooling methods to improve living conditions. He will provide training in the production of "Kelu" (traditional clay tiles) for roofing, a solution designed to lower indoor temperatures naturally while fostering sustainable self-employment opportunities, green skilling and eco-entrepreneurship within the local tribal community.
